Metro Bangalore is India's first elite rapid transit scheme serving the city of Bangalore. It is also known as Namma Metro. It is the 2nd longest operational metro network in India. It has an operational length of 76.9 km, behind the Delhi Metro.
After its start in 2011, it became the first underground metro in South India. Bangalore Metro route has a mix of at-grade, underground, and elevated stations. BMRCL is a joint venture for building, operating and expanding the Metro network.

Bangalore metro is currently operating with 2 route lines – Purple Line and Green Line. 4 route lines are under construction now and will be operational soon.
