Metro Bangalore
Metro Bangalore is India's first elite rapid transit scheme serving the city of Bangalore. It is also known as Namma Metro. It is the 2nd longest operational metro network in India. It has an operational length of 76.9 km, behind the Delhi Metro.
After its start in 2011, it became the first underground metro in South India. Bangalore Metro route has a mix of at-grade, underground, and elevated stations. BMRCL is a joint venture for building, operating and expanding the Metro network.
There are 68 operational metro stations in Bangalore, which,

- 8 underground stations
- The minimum ticket price for the metro is Rs 10
- The maximum ticket price is Rs 45
- Namma Metro monthly pass price is from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 3000
Bangalore metro is currently operating with 2 route lines – Purple Line and Green Line. 4 route lines are under construction now and will be operational soon.
The first operational line was the Purple Line. It was started with 37 stations and with 4 interchanges.

The yellow line is upcoming and it will cover 18 km. It will be run on 16 stations. It will link the RV Road and Bommasandra. Yellow Line Metro Bangalore opening date is on 2nd April 2025.
